Latest News & Updates
Recently, I had the pleasure of creating a short piece of music to accompany a fabulously whimsical stop-motion animation film by my animator and friend Lily-Joy Lancashire. The film was commissioned by Culture Vannin as part of the Year of the Manx Language 2026, celebrating the language and culture of the Isle of Man.
The film follows a traditional Manx folk story of an old man kept awake by fairies playing fiddles. The old man decides to dance for the fairies to entertain them, who then leave so that he can get to sleep. It was a fun challenge to draw from unfamiliar folk tunes and traditions to create something new whilst honouring the story and Manx musical heritage.
